AI coding agents are fast, but some of their actions deserve a second look: a destructive shell command, a read of your .env file, a new MCP server call, or a package install. HOL Guard is local-first runtime control for those moments. It runs on your machine next to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, checks agent actions against your policy, and holds the risky ones for your decision while routine work keeps going. Local HOL Guard is free and open source (Apache-2.0); Guard Cloud is an optional paid add-on for teams. Install: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init.
